I don't remember if the camera was working then. The USB Video Class (UVC) driver is a Microsoft-provided AVStream minidriver that provides driver support for USB Video Class devices. Previously, it was "Intel (R) Imaging Signal Processor 2400". Under "System Devices" are "Camera Sensor MT9M114" and "Camera Sensor OV5693", both of which have reportedly "The best drivers for your device are already installed" and date from 2013.ĭell Update says "The system is up-to-date" and was last updated at the end of 2018. It is currently named "Intel(R) AVStream Camera" dated (wasn't that a holiday?) after Update Driver went off in search on the Internet. The Device Manager does not have Cameras at the top level but does have one under Imaging devices. With the surge in video conferencing, I was curious if it could support Zoom et al. My Venue 8 Pro is still working, mainly using it to listen to audio streams because radio reception is so bad in my basement.

I have not heard sound in a couple of months. I waited a while, but then in desperation, I let the restart proceed. I also noticed a couple of windows that seemed to indicate 2 drivers were trying to update but were not going anywhere. Well I let it update then the message said to restart. Right click on the hardware device you wish to update and choose Update Driver Software. Go to Device Manager (right click on My Computer, choose Manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel) 2. I selected the "go ahead" option, hoping I would not now break something else. The package provides the installation files for Intel AVStream Camera Driver version 20.10154.5740.705. When I started to install.the warning message said that I drivers already installed were dated the same as or newer than this package.

For some unknown reason the computer began a process of "updating windows" don't know why yet. I committed to not install the new driver but just to install files. I checked and discovered my sound also was not working. I worried what else might get broken or fixed with this package. So I downloaded the "new" driver package from dell: Version 603.9600.2067.27988,A00 this was last updated Last Updated. I tried variants of the process to uninstall, delete, update and roll back drivers.
